Beat Goes On for Crawdads, Win 3-2 Over Fighting Quakers
The Hickory Crawdads had to overcome a good performance from Quebec pitcher Chris Huyard to claim a 3-2 win at Crawdad Park. Huyard went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. Shane Kidd, credited with the save, is now 14 for 15 in save opportunities. Hickory has now won 6 games in a row.

Andrew Baltzley, who is tied for 10th in the StC in bases on balls with 37, helped out the Hickory cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the right fielder was 2 for 4 with 2 singles.
