Walnut Park starter Kyle Sandor put the Denver offense in a vise grip. The left-hander relied heavily on his changeup in leading the Bobcats to a 2-1 win. With the win, Walnut Park raised its record to 49-42.

Walnut Park catcher Brandon Fry contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a splitter to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 33rd hit of the season and put the Bobcats ahead, 2-0.

"Every time I step on the mound, I want to go out there and compete and bring my best game," said Sandor.
