The Hickory Crawdads picked up a win at Crawdad Park, dropping the Quebec Aces, 3-2. Ricardo Martinez was the difference-maker. In 6 innings, Martinez surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Travis Erb earned the save, his 5th in 5 tries.

Pete Kincaid dealt the Aces a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with the bases loaded and Hickory trailing 1-0, Kincaid hit a first pitch cutter for a 2-run single.
