Selects Ballpark played host to some exciting baseball.
Aaron O'Brien, who is tied for 4th in the StC in innings pitched with 118.0, was in top form in a tight contest between Spokane and Westwood. The Selects right-hander helped his team beat the Bruins, 2-1. The first-place Bruins now sit at 52-38.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, an error by the Bruins allowed the Selects to score the winning run.
"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Mongold told the Spokane News.
