The Quebec Aces beat the Spokane Selects, 5-1. Quebec pitcher and Riverdale Park, Maryland, native Marquise Robinson led the way. Robinson, the winner, moves to 6-7. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 9 and giving up 2 walks. By defeating Spokane, the second-place Aces improved to 44-45.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Willie Bazaldua? The Quebec catcher had a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Aces on top, 3-0. For the game, Bazaldua had 1 double and 2 singles in 3 at-bats.

"Marquise knows how to get ahead of hitters, stay ahead of hitters, and put people out," said Quebec manager Arturo Rivera.
