The Walnut Park Bobcats got a superb performance from first baseman Chris Stivers, but the New Rochelle Purple Wave still won the game, 4-3. Stivers was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winning pitcher was Kosuke Sakai. He tossed 95 pitches over 5.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits. Bobby Gang got the save, his 2nd in 2 chances.

Kyle Nash had a big 3-run home run for the Purple Wave in the bottom of the third inning. With New Rochelle trailing 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he sized up a fastball from Jose Perez, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2019 draft, and punished it. The result was his 14th home run of the season, which put the Purple Wave on top, 3-1.

New Rochelle manager Brent Boudreau called it "a good, solid win."

With the win, the Purple Wave have a record of 44-46.
