Hickory parlayed a decent outing from starter Roy Doub into a solid win over the Ann Arbor Z's. The final score was 6-4. Dan Mills locked down his 4th save. The Crawdads have now won 4 straight.

Hickory used the timely hitting of Mike Maynard to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Crawdads on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Roy pitched his heart out," said Hickory manager Ray Sanchez.
