Oaks Rally to Win, 3-2

The Orono Oaks did just enough to sneak past the Quebec Fighting Quakers, 3-2, at University of Maine Stadium. Orono pitcher Nick Calvache, in particular, had a standout performance. Chase Collins earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 2 innings. His record is now 4-4. The win elevated the Oaks to 48-42.
The Oaks got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Kyle Parker. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Oaks.
"Our team showed some gumption," said Calvache. "I like it."
