The New Rochelle Purple Wave beat the Walnut Park Bobcats, 10-7, at Ballpark of Walnut Park. New Rochelle shortstop Nick Drake had an outstanding performance. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Alberto Renteria earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. Mike Deadrick closed the door for New Rochelle, picking up his 9th save of the year.

New Rochelle used the clutch hitting of Jason Bloom to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the seventh inning to give the Purple Wave the lead, 10-6. For the game, Bloom had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

"We got the victory," said Bloom. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
