New Rochelle designated hitter Sean Robinson was sensational. He was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Randolph beat the Purple Wave, 5-4. Randolph reliever Marco Sanchez picked up the win, raising his record to 3-3. Hector Moralez was tagged with the loss. Their 45-44 record puts the Prairie Thunder third in the Stripes Conference East Division.

Randolph took a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With two out, center fielder Kyle Wright hit a 2-run home run that electrified the crowd.

In postgame comments, Wright told the Randolph News: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"
