The Westwood Bruins topped the Ann Arbor Z's, 6-0, at Knights Ballpark. Westwood shortstop Brad Kretsch was a spark plug for the offense. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. The win belonged to Mike Weatherby in relief. His record improves to 5-2. Jon Gunter took the loss for Ann Arbor. With the win, Westwood pushed its record to 49-36.

Billy Martinez went 1-4 with a walk for Westwood. The 32-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the third. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring single off Jon Gunter. It was his 11th hit of the season.
