Aces Win Nail-Biter
The Quebec Aces racked up a win at Belmont Park, bumping off the Quebec Fighting Quakers, 3-2, in 14 innings. Sean Torkelson, who started for Quebec, pitched effectively for his team. Quebec now sits at 39-48, while Quebec falls to 44-43.

Up to bat in the bottom of the 14th, 23-year old catcher Cesar Pereira had a chance to be the hero. Quebec pitcher Scott Harvey wanted to foil that plan. But with one out, Pereira hit a sacrifice fly. The Aces had themselves a thrilling win.

"We had a good game plan," Torkelson said, "and we were able to execute it."
