The Spokane Selects took Walnut Park pitcher Brad Porretta's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Ballpark of Walnut Park. The final score had Spokane getting past the Bobcats, 3-2. Porretta went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 5. Tyler Doss earned the save for Spokane, his 13th. The defeat makes Walnut Park 47-40.
Ammar bin Imran made it 3-2, in favor of Spokane when he delivered a run-scoring single. It came with one out in the top of the eighth. The Selects went on to win.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," bin Imran told the Spokane News.
