Patton Now 5-5 After Beating Pilots
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Hickory Crawdads and the Denver Pilots, pitcher Dustin Patton was the difference between victory and defeat. The Hickory right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 2-1 Crawdads win. Shane Kidd was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 10 of 11 save opportunities. The Crawdads, at 48-39, sit in third place in the Stripes Conference West Division.
Patton scattered 2 hits over 7 innings for the Crawdads. With the win, Patton goes to 5-5 on the year with 61 strikeouts.
"My job is to go out and play as hard as I can for the Crawdads," said Patton.
