Tucson and Hickory duked it out and the Raccoons came out victorious.

The Tucson Raccoons knocked off the Hickory Crawdads, 6-3, in Stripes Conference action at Raccoons Ballpark. Tucson pitcher and Magnolia, Mississippi, native Victor Luna had an outstanding performance. Kyle Thompson closed it out for his 7th save.

Tucson first baseman Eric Milbrandt contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a sinker to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 20th hit of the season and put the Raccoons ahead, 6-2.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Milbrandt.

With the win, Tucson has a record of 36-49. Hickory falls to 54-31.
