The Walnut Park Bobcats stymied the Ann Arbor Z's, 4-2, at Knights Ballpark. Jeff Newingham had a good day at the plate. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Walnut Park. The Bobcats, at 46-38, sit in third place in the Stripes Conference West Division.

Newingham had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth to put Walnut Park in front, 3-1. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run off Ann Arbor pitcher Nick Gates.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Newingham told the Walnut Park Daily News.
