Jackie Robinson Stadium was the site for Stripes Conference action featuring the Orono Oaks and Westwood Bruins.

Orono had no answer for Westwood Bruins hurler Tom Balletta, who overwhelmed Oaks hitters as the Bruins coasted to victory, 6-1. The first-place Bruins have a one-game lead in their division.

The Oaks had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Bruins going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 34-year old shortstop Steve Parson came to the plate. Parson hit a 2-run double on a full count fastball from Orono hurler Matt Williams. It was Parson's 1st double of the year.

In postgame comments to the Westwood Today, Balletta said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
