3-1 Pilots Win over Bobcats Evens Season Record
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Denver Pilots and the Walnut Park Bobcats, pitcher Tom Rise was the difference between victory and defeat. The Denver right-hander earned kudos in the 3-1 Pilots win. Rise picked up the win for Denver, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 8-5. The Pilots raised their record to 42-42.
Bill Brown had a big hit for Denver in the top of the first inning. With Denver leading 1-0, Brown hit a 2-run home run. It was his 14th home run of the season and put the Pilots up, 3-0.
