George Theodore had a 3-RBI game, during Palm Springs's 7-1 triumph over the Spokane Selects. Theodore contributed 2 singles and 1 home run to the cause. At 57-27, the Heat find themselves in first place in the Stripes Conference West Division.

Palm Springs used a clutch at-bat from Tom Klenke to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Heat ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said Palm Springs skipper Rogelio Sanchez.
