Bobcats Drop 5-2 Decision
|
Denver Pilots starter Dan Bruce turned in a top-notch performance against the Walnut Park Bobcats at Pilots Ballpark. The result was a win for the Pilots, 5-2. Jarred Gangi, credited with the save, is now 16 for 21 in save opportunities. The 4th-place Bobcats dropped to 46-37.
The Pilots had to work out of trouble in the top of the ninth. The score was 5-2, Denver, with one out. Walnut Park, with runners on 1st and 2nd, was mounting a threat. Ken Kirkland dug in at the plate, but on a 2-2 fastball, he struck out.
