Crawdads Defeat Aces, 3-2
|
The Hickory Crawdads defeated the Quebec Aces, 3-2, in 10 innings. Doing his part was center fielder Isaiah Goulbourne, who went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. Hickory reliever Dan Mills snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. Casey Danis shouldered the loss. Now 37-46, Quebec has lost 12 in a row.
The Crawdads got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Nate Roberts. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Crawdads.
"That was a good baseball game," said Goulbourne.
