Behind an impressive start by Dennis Cambridge, Spokane beat Westwood, 2-1. Tyler Doss closed the door for Spokane, picking up his 18th save of the year. Spokane's record now stands at 46-36, placing them third in the Stripes Conference West Division.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Selects had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when left fielder Lee Muza hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Dustin Engstrom and made the score 2-1, Selects. Muza was 1-3 with a walk.

"I was a little disappointed," said Westwood manager Nate Hendrickson. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
