Hickory Tags Quebec with 5-2 Defeat
The Hickory Crawdads got a marvelous performance from pitcher Frank Sarabia. The right-hander kept the Quebec offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 5-2 Hickory victory at Toros Ballpark. Sarabia yielded 1 run over 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 7-2. Dan Mills earned the save, his 2nd.

Jerry Guerrero dealt the Fighting Quakers a blow in the top of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and Hickory leading 2-0, Guerrero hit a 2-0 fastball for a 2-run single.

Hickory manager Ray Sanchez was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard," he said.

Hickory is now 48-31, while Quebec is 38-41.
