Fighting Quakers Capture Close Win
In a low-scoring contest between the Quebec Fighting Quakers and the Denver Pilots, Chris Stoddard, who is tied for 4th in the StC with a 0.99 WHIP, proved to be the difference. The Quebec right-hander earned props for his performance in the 2-1 Fighting Quakers win. Chris McAuley claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record stands at 6-2. The Stripes Conference West Division-leading Fighting Quakers are 48-31.

The Fighting Quakers got a clutch hit from catcher Sam Neeley. In the bottom of the 12th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Fighting Quakers.

"This place sure got loud," said Jeff Gray, the Quebec manager.
