The Westwood Bruins had to overcome a good performance from Quebec pitcher Pete Cook to claim a 2-0 win at Belmont Park. Cook went 5 innings and allowed 2 runs. Lorenzo Landin picked up the save, his 6th. Quebec is in the throes of a long losing streak, which is now 10 games.

Making an impact for Westwood was designated hitter Jon Wagner. He drilled a double off Pete Cook in the top of the fourth. For the game, Wagner was 2-3 with a double and a walk.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Wagner. "And not try to do too much."
