Hickory pitcher Dustin Patton had a large part in his team beating the Dillonvale Indians, 4-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The Crawdads improved their record to 45-36 by beating Dillonvale.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Patton told the Hickory Chronicle.
