Spokane left fielder Ian Schelling was instrumental in helping the Selects triumph, 7-1, over the New Rochelle Purple Wave. Schelling was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Spokane is now 43-34, while New Rochelle is 36-41.

With Spokane leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Schelling hit a fastball from Fred Hollern for a 3-run home run. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the Selects ahead, 4-0.

"Solid performance from our side," said Selects manager Chris McLure.
