Bruins Earn 3-1 Road Win Over Tucson
Westwood Bruins starter Shawn McMurtry was on his game, helping his team beat the Tucson Raccoons, 3-1. Kenny Fuzzell was credited with the save for Westwood, his 5th of the season. Westwood is now 40-36, while Tucson is 39-37.

The Bruins got a big at-bat from second baseman Brad Kretsch. For the game, Kretsch went 1 for 4 with a home run. In the top of the fifth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Westwood a 1-0 lead.

"Tough loss," said Tucson manager Bill Escobar. "But that's how the chips sometimes fall."
