Denver got a first-rate effort from pitcher Danny Larimer, who frustrated New Rochelle hitters en route to a 3-0 Pilots triumph at Ballpark of Lexington. Larimer picked up the win for Denver, going 6.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 7-3. Earning his 19th save for Denver was David Pool.
The Pilots got a lift from second baseman Darren Errigo, who in the top of the first hit a run-scoring double. His 16th double of the season put the Pilots on top, 1-0.
"It was a solid team effort," said Larimer after the game.
Denver, at 36-39, occupies 4th place in the Stripes Conference West Division.
