The Denver Pilots topped the New Rochelle Purple Wave, 7-4, with first baseman Matt DeLaet playing a big role. DeLaet was 4 for 4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 for the Pilots in the win. Gregorio Argueta, credited with the win in relief, is now 3-1. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2 innings. Jarred Gangi recorded his 13th save for Denver.
The Pilots got a big at-bat from second baseman Jim Franz. For the game, Franz was 1-5 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Denver a 5-3 lead.
