Sean Torkelson, who is tied for 10th in the StC in quality starts with 8, had a strong outing for the Quebec Aces against the Ann Arbor Z's at Knights Ballpark. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 7-3 win. The winning pitcher was Torkelson, now 6-4. He tossed 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 7. Quebec, at 39-36, holds down second place in the Stripes Conference East Division.

Quebec used a well-timed hit by Humberto Castano to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Aces ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"Winning never gets dull," said Castano.
