In a low-scoring contest between the Orono Oaks and the Denver Pilots, Brian Treadway was the X factor. The Orono left-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. The save went to Matt Williams, his 19th this season. At 44-29, the Oaks claim first place in the Stripes Conference East Division.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Sean Dowling? The Orono second baseman had a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Oaks on top, 3-1. For the game, Dowling had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
