Hickory Absorbs 7-0 Loss to New Rochelle
The 7-0 New Rochelle win over Hickory was due largely to Eduardo Lopez. The Purple Wave catcher was 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Chris Zuniga, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 4.2 innings. The win puts New Rochelle at 45-25 this season.

With New Rochelle leading 4-0 in the bottom of the seventh, Lopez batted against Hickory pitcher Denny Mason. Lopez hit a fastball to center for a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season put the Purple Wave on top, 7-0.

"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Lopez.
