New Rochelle and Orono duked it out and the Purple Wave came out victorious.

The Orono Oaks got a superb performance from pitcher Bill Frazer, but the New Rochelle Purple Wave still won the game, 4-3. Frazer threw 8.0 innings of 7-hit ball. New Rochelle goes to 35-35, Orono to 42-28.

Eric Brown came through with a big-time hit for New Rochelle. The pinch hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 4-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"It never gets old," said Brown. "Winning, that is."
