Raccoons Earn Clutch Win, 5-4
The Tucson Raccoons beat the Walnut Park Bobcats, 5-4, at Raccoons Ballpark. Brian Roberts, in particular, was impressive. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Tucson reliever Clint Rapson got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Tony Wooten was tagged with the loss. The Raccoons improved their record to 29-43 by beating Walnut Park.

The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the 15th. With Tucson trailing 4-3, Roberts jumped on a cutter from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Tony Wooten and hit a 2-run home run to right-center. With one swing, the Raccoons had a walk-off win.

"The game of baseball will test you," said Rogelio Sanchez, the Tucson skipper. "This one tested us."
