Both teams had their chances, but the Ann Arbor Z's eventually prevailed.

The 3-2 Ann Arbor win over Dillonvale was due largely to Hunter Schalow. The Z's designated hitter went 2-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. Chris Runte closed the door for Ann Arbor, picking up his 14th save of the year.

Schalow got the Z's off to a quick start. In the top of the first, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 2-run single.

"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Markus Mensink.

Ann Arbor, at 26-43, occupies 5th place in the Stripes Conference East Division.
