Indians Earn Late 1-0 Win
|
The Ann Arbor Z's wasted an inspired, 6-inning effort from starter Alex Holle, falling, 1-0, to the Dillonvale Indians at Black Diamonds Ballpark. Dillonvale reliever Pat Hiltner picked up the win to move to 1-4. Jon Gunter suffered the loss. Ann Arbor's current losing streak is now 5 games.
Dillonvale got a knockout punch from Matt Peterson. The first baseman hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
In postgame remarks, Peterson hailed his team's "single-minded focus."
