Pilots Lose to Purple Wave in Walk-Off
Josh Shropshire pitched a gem to lead New Rochelle to victory over the Denver Pilots, 2-1. The win went to Chris Simon in relief, making him now 3-2. Carlos Martinez took the loss for Denver. The Purple Wave improved their record to 38-31 by beating Denver.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the ninth for New Rochelle. That's when Richard Banales hit a solo home run off 28-year old right-handed pitcher Carlos Martinez to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"Runs were at a premium," said New Rochelle manager William Gregg.
