The Walnut Park Bobcats cruised to a win over the Westwood Bruins, 12-3, at Jackie Robinson Stadium. Alex Ochoa led the way, going 2-for-4 for Walnut Park. Brad Porretta was the winner. Over 6.2 innings, he yielded 2 runs on 7 hits, with 3 walks and 7 strikeouts. The 4th-place Bobcats are now 37-31, the Bruins 37-31.

With Walnut Park leading 8-2 in the top of the eighth, Ochoa came up to bat against Westwood pitcher Chris Fitzsimmons. Ochoa hit a fastball to center for a bases-clearing double. His 9th double of the season put the Bobcats on top, 11-2.

"We didn't pitch good, and when you don't pitch good, you lose," said Westwood manager Hasan Raif.
