Bobcats Suffer 2-0 Road Loss
Westwood pitcher Tom Balletta had a large part in his team subduing the Walnut Park Bobcats, 2-0. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. Picking up the save was 21-year old left-handed pitcher Lorenzo Landin. The victory gives Westwood a record of 37-30.

The Bruins got a big at-bat from designated hitter Jon Wagner. For the game, Wagner went 1 for 3 with a home run. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 11th home run of the season gave Westwood a 1-0 lead.

"I liked his command," said Westwood manager Hasan Raif. "Tom was throwing strikes."
