Crawdads Reel Off Another Win
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 21-year old catcher Mike Hankins, the Hickory Crawdads stopped the Westwood Bruins, 4-2. Mike Deadrick, now 2-0, was credited with the win in 3.2 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 3 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0. David Johnson was credited with the save for Hickory, his 1st of the season.

With Hickory leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Hankins came up to bat against Westwood pitcher Justin Watson. Hankins hit a cutter to right-center for a run-scoring double. His 1st double of the season put the Crawdads on top, 3-1.

"When their pitchers are leaving stuff over the heart of the plate, we're not missing it," said Hickory manager Ray Sanchez.
