Oaks Reel Off Another Win
|
The Orono Oaks beat the Spokane Selects, 4-2. Orono pitcher and Auburn, Nebraska, native Brian Treadway led the way. Treadway picked up the win for Orono, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 5-4. The first-place Oaks have won 7 in a row.
Fabian Hartnett had a big solo home run for the Oaks in the top of the sixth inning. With Orono leading 2-1 and the bases empty, he sized up a sinker from Aaron O'Brien, who leads the StC in strikeouts with 102, and punished it. The result was his 8th home run of the season, which put the Oaks on top, 3-1.
