Riding the 2-hit performance of the 26-year old catcher Jeff Greathouse, the Orono Oaks stopped the New Rochelle Purple Wave, 8-1. Juan Santana was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 5 save opportunities. With the victory, the Oaks upped their record to 39-30.

Making an impact for the home team was Matt Tindall. In the bottom of the fifth, the 25-year old first baseman had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 3-1, Oaks.

"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Greathouse told the Orono News.
