Purple Wave Roll Past Aces, 7-1

Kevin Garber left his imprint on the 7-1 New Rochelle win against the Quebec Aces. Garber was 3 for 3 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The winning pitcher was 22-year old right-handed pitcher Blake Banks. He tossed 86 pitches over 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits. Bobby Gang picked up the save for New Rochelle, his 1st of the year.
The Purple Wave got a big at-bat from designated hitter Gabe Garza. For the game, Garza went 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 14th double of the season gave New Rochelle a 2-0 lead.
"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said New Rochelle manager Brent Boudreau.
New Rochelle, at 32-36, occupies 4th place in the Stripes Conference East Division.
