New Rochelle Downed, 6-4, by Fighting Quakers

The Quebec Fighting Quakers locked up a win at Toros Ballpark, knocking off the New Rochelle Purple Wave, 6-4. On the mound for Quebec was right-hander Nick Beck. He played a major role in the triumph. Quebec reliever Scott Harvey picked up the win, raising his record to 4-2. Shane Edwards was tagged with the loss. Ross Lefkowitz picked up his 1st save of the season.
Andy Brewer went 1 for 3 with a walk for Quebec. With one out and the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, Brewer had a clutch at-bat. Facing New Rochelle hurler Shane Edwards, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run to give the Fighting Quakers a 3-2 lead.
"We came out on top and that's all I can ask for," said Beck.
Quebec now sports a record of 31-35.
