Fighting Quakers Prevail, 3-1, Over Westwood
|
The Quebec Fighting Quakers picked up a win at Toros Ballpark, topping the Westwood Bruins, 3-1. On the mound for Quebec was right-hander Mark Herrera. He played a principal role in the triumph. Herrera, the winner, moves to 2-4. He threw 6 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 3 walks. Quebec has now won 4 games in a row.
Ben Leonardi, who is tied for 2nd in the StC in RBI with 45, came through for Quebec with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. The first baseman went 2 for 3 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 3 RBI.
