Fremont Defeated by Westwood, 4-2

The Westwood Bruins stymied the Fremont Marshalls, 4-2, at Jackie Robinson Stadium. Dale Day had a good day at the plate. He slugged 2 home runs for Westwood. Jay Sikora, who is tied for 9th in the StC in wins with 5, was the winner. He's now 5-2. The loser was Josh Riese. Kenny Fuzzell locked down his 3rd save.
Westwood grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Day hit a solo home run off Josh Riese. His 19th home run of the season put the Bruins out in front, 3-2.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Day.
The victory gives Westwood a record of 34-27.
