Prairie Thunder Rally to Nose Past Quebec
The Randolph Prairie Thunder topped the Quebec Fighting Quakers by a score of 5-4. Leading the way was left fielder Steve Maltman. Maltman went 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Prairie Thunder. The win went to Josh McPherson in relief, making him now 1-0. Brian Kauppinen took the loss for Quebec. Jarrod Threats recorded the save for Randolph, his 20th of the season.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Matt Anderson? The 22-year old first baseman Anderson stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put Randolph up, 5-4. For the game, he was 3 for 4, including 1 double and 2 singles.

"Every time you put a 'W' on the board is always good," said Maltman.

With the victory, the Prairie Thunder upped their record to 45-18.
