Randolph Prairie Thunder starter Brian Underwood pitched a strong game against the Quebec Fighting Quakers at Toros Ballpark, leading the Prairie Thunder to victory, 8-2. The Stripes Conference East Division-leading Prairie Thunder have a record of 44-18.

The Prairie Thunder got a big hit from left fielder Mike Melin. Facing Quebec pitcher Andy Swift in the top of the fifth, Melin pounded a 2-run home run to left. His 2nd home run of the season put the Prairie Thunder ahead, 6-1.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Melin. "And not try to do too much."
