Spokane Triumphs with Late Surge

Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Spokane Selects and Quebec Aces.
The Spokane Selects handed the Quebec Aces a 6-4 defeat at Selects Ballpark. Second Baseman Troy Hermann starred for Spokane. He was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Rich Whiteside snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 2.2 innings. He's now 4-2 on the season.
Mark Payne drew 1 walk against the Aces. With the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run that put Spokane in front, 4-3.
"Hustle and hard work is a big part of our success," said Hermann. "Those qualities define our team."
Quebec has now lost 4 in a row.
