Spokane Tacks 4-2 Loss on Quebec
|
Quebec third baseman Humberto Castano had a good game, even if his team did not. The Aces dropped a 4-2 decision to Spokane at Selects Ballpark. Castano was 2-3 with a home run. Tyler Doss finished to wrap up his 6th save. Spokane is 4th in the Stripes Conference West Division with a record of 33-29.
Nate Grooms had a big solo home run for the Selects in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Spokane leading 3-2 and the bases empty, he got a fastball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Jaiden Harvey and swatted a home run to right. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Selects ahead, 4-2.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Spokane skipper Chris McLure.
