The Denver Pilots picked up a win at Selects Ballpark, knocking off the Spokane Selects, 2-1. Starting pitcher Andrew Chalmers played a key role in the triumph. David Pool collected save number 15. The 5th-place Selects have dropped 4 straight games.

Denver used a clutch hit from Ik-jun Chung to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Pilots ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"This was a tough loss," said Spokane manager Chris McLure. "It'll stick in my craw for a while."
