The Westwood Bruins scored a tight, 4-3 win versus the New Rochelle Purple Wave at Ballpark of Lexington. Westwood pitcher Roy McLain held his own in the contest. Brad Antol, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 10th save. The win for the Bruins raised their record to 31-25.

Westwood used a well-timed hit by Brian Hendrix to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Bruins ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

Hendrix called the win a testament to his team's "grit."
