Pilots Rally Late to Nip Prairie Thunder

The Denver Pilots had to weather a strong performance from Randolph pitcher Simon Scales before claiming a 3-2 win in 10 innings. Scales went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. Denver reliever Bob Bramlett picked up the win, upping his record to 3-9. Brad Antol absorbed the loss. The Pilots raised their record to 25-32.
Denver used the timely hitting of Matthew Colyer to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Pilots on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Colyer said his team "played with determination."
