Crawdads Trip Z's, 9-7, in Extra Innings
The timely hitting of Lance Parrent helped the Hickory Crawdads take down the Ann Arbor Z's, 9-7, in 11 innings. Parrent went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles for the Crawdads. Hickory reliever Adam Ryan snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. Alex Holle shouldered the loss. Wilfredo Rodriguez got credit for the save for Hickory. It was his 1st of the year.

Hickory needed the clutch hitting of Dan Canady to notch the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Crawdads on top, 9-7. For the game, Canady had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.

In postgame remarks, Canady simply said: "Here's to a great win!"

Hickory is now 33-24, while Ann Arbor is 23-34.
