Ann Arbor starter Dionísio Manteigueiro pitched effectively against the Hickory Crawdads at Knights Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. Chris Runte locked down his 13th save. With the win, Ann Arbor goes to 23-33, while the Crawdads fall to 32-24.

Had Pat Bell not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Bell hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Z's.

"The other side took advantage in some key situations," said Hickory manager Ray Sanchez.
