Pilots Raise Rally Flag, Beat Randolph, 4-3

The Randolph Prairie Thunder got a superb performance from pitcher Ricardo Rincon, but the Denver Pilots still won the game, 4-3. Rincon threw 8.2 innings of 1-hit ball. Andrew Chalmers picked up the win in relief for Denver, while Ricardo Rincon took the loss. So far in 2021, Denver is 24-31.
Denver used the timely hitting of Austin Bonneau to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Pilots on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Bonneau told the Denver Gazette.
