Pilots Get Hard-Earned Win
Starting pitcher Dan Bruce pitched well enough to help the Denver Pilots beat the Orono Oaks, 4-3. Billy Merner earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-2. Jarred Gangi recorded his 9th save for Denver.

Erik Hansen, who is tied for 9th in the StC in triples with 2, had a direct impact on the outcome. Hansen contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the tenth inning to put Denver up, 4-3.

Denver manager Byung-sik Lee called it "a pretty good win."
